Knight Foundation Blog Series Addresses Campus Free Speech

Title: Knight Foundation’s Informed & Engaged Blog Series

The Knight Foundation has leveraged its space on the website Medium to promote a series of invited blog posts around the topic of free speech on campus.

The blogs are included in the Foundation’s series called “Informed and Engaged” which aims to “foster informed and engaged communities, which [the Knight Foundation believes is] essential for a healthy democracy.” Writers in the series include undergraduate student body presidents, professors, and current and former university presidents.

The first four blogs to specifically focus on the higher education setting discuss the results of a recently released report that measured how students perceive the state of free expression within higher education, and includes a set of three reaction posts written by current students who self-identify as being from divergent political leanings.
