The American Council on Education’s (ACE) Higher Education Today blog, which debuted in September 2013, is edited by ACE’s Office of Public Affairs, with the support and contributions of staff from across the Council. We focus on a wide range of topics, with the common theme of what is most relevant to higher education in the 21st century and how these issues play out in the public sphere.

The nation’s most visible and influential higher education association, ACE represents the presidents of nearly 1,800 U.S. accredited, degree-granting institutions, which include two- and four-year colleges, private and public universities, and nonprofit and for-profit entities, as well as related associations. We convene representatives from all sectors to collectively tackle the toughest higher education challenges, with a focus on improving access and preparing every student to succeed.
