Toward a More Accurate Graduation Rate

You may have seen The Washington Post piece this week on how some colleges and universities are participating in the Student Achievement Measure, a collaborative effort by the higher education community to track student attendance across institutions.

SAM is designed to offer a more accurate graduation rate than what the federal government currently reports—it includes transfer students, people who are still enrolled and those working toward a credential.
